Craven Cottage is situated at Oakdene Farm, Standedge, Saddleworth, OL3 5LU

Yes we do accept dogs in our cottage for a small cost of £10 per night, per dog. We charge a fee as we have found that the cottage needs additional cleaning after our doggy friends have stayed – to keep up with our standards.

There are lots of lovely walks in the area to take your dog on. Please bear in mind when taking your dog outside in the grounds of the cottage that we do live on a farm site with cats, horses and sheep so please keep them on a lead.

The single story Cottage has one double bedroom with a king size bed, wardrobe, dressing table, chest of draws and a 27 inch free-view flat screen TV. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin.

The open plan kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, fridge, freezer and microwave. The lounge has a sofa bed, chair, 27 inch free-view flat screen TV. 

The enclosed flagged patio area has a little cottage garden, table and chairs and a gas BBQ.

Check-in is anytime from 3.00pm onwards. 

Check-out is by 10.00am.

YES! We like our houses warm! The cottage is heated by a combi-boiler ensuring you always have warm radiators and water. 

We are a no smoking or vaping site.

There is a fire alarm system in operation and if this is set off by guests smoking anywhere in the cottage you will be asked to leave and forfeit any monies paid, this is non-negotiable.

The cottage is self catering so please bring your own food supplies.

Tea, coffee, sugar and milk will be waiting for you when you arrive plus a complimentary bottle of prosecco to kick start your holiday in style!

Fresh milk, cream, yoghurt etc. are available to order from the local farm for delivery on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Free range eggs always available within walking distance.

Fresh fish available from Holmfirth Fresh Fish on Thursdays (orders taken on the Wednesday).

There are many pubs, restaurants, cafes, wine bars and takeaways nearby (some deliver if you don’t have transport).

The nearest pub is 1.4 miles away in Diggle and can be walked to, mainly on small quiet lanes.

The local post office in Diggle has nearly everything you may need and is a 4 minute drive away. The nearest village with a co-op is 1.9 miles away in Delph.

Albion Farm Shop, OL3 5EB is situated on the A62 between Delph and Scouthead and is a 5 minute drive away, with a selection of almost everything you could want to buy!

50% deposit to confirm the booking, with the balance payable 30 calendar days prior to arrival.

Cancellation up to 30 calendar days prior to arrival then the deposit will be refunded in full, less any incidental expenses that may have been incurred by us. I.e. Cancellation outside of the 30 day period means you will get a full refund – 0% cancellation fee.

Cancellation within 30 calendar days of arrival then the full booking amount will have been paid and will not be refunded. I.e. Cancellation within the 30 day period means the full balance is lost – with 100% cancellation fee.

Please note we expect the cottage to be left clean and tidy. Please wipe worktops down and if necessary hoover though for any dirt that may have been left on the floor, prior to checking out. If the cottage is not respected there will be an excessive cleaning charge applied.
